First Lutheran is a congregation of the ELCA located in the heart of downtown Lorain, Ohio. First Lutheran has a tradition of musical excellence that includes the FIRST Music concert series, and a compassionate heart for serving the community.
Connected with and central to everything we do, worship unites in celebration, engages in thoughtful dialogue, and helps us to grow in faith. It grounds us in our Lutheran roots, while demonstrating the practices in today’s world.

Join us for Worship in Person or Online at 9:30am every Sunday Morning. First Lutheran Church has a foundation of faith in our worship service. Through God’s word, water, bread, and prayer we are nurtured in faith and sent out into the world.
Facility Rental
Our beautiful facility offers plenty of space for your next celebration. We are happy to host all milestones from bridal and baby showers, birthday parties, graduation parties, wedding receptions, family reunions, and funeral luncheons. First Lutheran's award winning spaces can accommodate all your needs.

CommunityOutreach
First Lutheran is an urban church, located in the heart of downtown Lorain. There are people who often come into the church looking for help – needing food, gas money, prescriptions or other assistance. Since we are located in the heart of an area with economic struggles, we have many opportunities to serve those in need.

The outreach through this church is know through all of lorain and surrounding areas. we feed the hungry with hot means, distribute pantry items, provide housing for homeless families, support a mission in akrampa, ghana - where you will find a school, church, and safe water.
